Vera Danilina (born 1999, Penza, Russia) is a Russian and international classical guitarist, teacher, and laureate of numerous prestigious international competitions. She is renowned for her distinctive performance style, expressive stage presence, and contribution to the development of classical guitar Born in Penza, Russia, in 1999, Vera’s artistic journey was significantly influenced by her mother, a professional actress. She began studying guitar at the age of 5 under the guidance of Olga Odrina, demonstrating exceptional musical talent from an early age.

At the age of 7, she first met Professor Vladimir Mityakov, who immediately recognized her natural gift. For several years, he supported her development, and at 11, Vera began regularly attending his masterclasses, which greatly shaped her artistic grow

In 2015, Vera enrolled at the M.A. Balakirev Music College in Nizhny Novgorod, officially becoming a student of Vladimir Mityakov. Under his guidance, she spent crucial years honing her professional skills.

From 2019 to 2023, Vera continued her education at the M.I. Glinka State Conservatory, where she achieved significant successes in international competitions and performed with orchestras.

In 2023, she moved to Paris to further her education at the Regional Conservatory of Paris (CRR) under the mentorship of Jérémy Jouve.

After winning the “Michele Pittaluga” International Classical Guitar Competition in 2022, Vera performed a series of solo concerts in prestigious Italian venues.

In 2023, she performed at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall in Moscow during the “Guitar Virtuosos” festival and toured France as part of a concert series organized by Amis des Jeunes Artistes Musiciens (AJAM).

In 2024, she joined the jury of the 6th International Guitar Festival in Béarn (France). She is currently an artist endorsed by Altamira Guitars, Savarez, and Nevaton.

Since 2023, Vera has been involved in the creation of a documentary titled “Vera Venezia”, directed by Lilia Timirzyanova. The film chronicles her artistic journey, blending her guitar performance with the history and culture of Venice.

In 2023, Vera released her debut album under the Contrastes Records label, which received high praise from critics and audiences alike

Vera Danilina’s guitar technique sets her apart from other classical guitarists. Her right-hand position, featuring an extended pinky finger, allows for exceptional precision, speed, and expressiveness. This approach developed intuitively during her childhood and has been a subject of discussion among educators and competition juries.

Her technique blends elements of tirando and apoyando, enabling her to produce a rich and powerful sound with ease. Inspired by the traditions of 19th-century romantic guitarists such as Dionisio Aguado and Fernando Sor, her style is a modern reinterpretation of historical techniques.

Her contributions to the classical guitar are further highlighted by dedications from modern composers, including Konstantin Vassiliev and Sergey Kravchuk, reflecting her influence and efforts to expand the boundaries of the instrument.
